Frosty Fruit Salad

 

2 cups sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 quart buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
20 ounces crushed pineapple, drained
17 ounces fruit cocktail, drained

 

Combine sugar, salt, buttermilk, and vanilla until well mixed. Gently stir in drained fruit. Pour into 9 inch square pan. Freeze until firm.
